I have led and participated in 68 research projects at national, provincial and ministerial level: National Natural Science Foundation Project------“Traffic Flow Routing Problem with Soft Time Windows and Its Applications”, Hunan Social Science Fund Project------“Research on Theory and Method of Transportation Resources Reasonable Use in Hunan”, Science and Technology Research and Development Program of Ministry of Railway------“Research on Optimization Method and Economic Benefits Evaluation and Computer System Development of Passenger Train Plan”, Technology Development Project of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau------“Research on Optimization Method and Computer Decision Support System of Passenger Train Plan”, Scientific Research Project of Changchun Railway Bureau------“Research on Traffic Flow Accumulation Regulation under the Condition of Train Operation in Accordance with Train Diagram”, etc. and one project was awarded the third prize of Hunan Science and Technology Progress. Up to now, I have published over 140 papers in domestic and foreign journals, among which 36 papers were cited by SCI and EI, one won the first prize of Hunan Excellent Natural Scientific Papers, one won the best paper award of Jiangxi Entrepreneur and Economist Forum, and two won the second prize of Jiangxi Communications & Transportation Association Annual Meeting papers. In the field of transportation system modeling analysis, algorithm design, decision theory and method, and modern information technology, I have got many successful research achievements and some have been applied to practice.

For a long time, I have been engaged in teaching and research work on transportation planning and management, transportation system analysis, computer application technology, model and algorithm design. I have done a lot of intensive studies in professional theory and application: building beneficial directions models for train formation plan on railway network and straight line and designing their algorithms; building the model of traffic flow network allocation and designing its optimal algorithm; building the quadratic programming model for the system of train operation dispatch and management and putting forward the calculation method of the instant algorithm; building the aggregate investment restriction model of railway network reconstruction and designing its heuristic algorithm; analyzing the influencing factors of important indicators (transfer time and transfer time of wagon) of railway transportation with the method of mathematical models and statistical techniques and putting forward the measure to solve the problem; building the bipartite graph model of passenger train plan and designing its linear algorithm; designing the benefit evaluation index system and method of passenger train plan, and doing a lot of intensive studies in the theory and method for developing decision support system of passenger train plan, and finally developing corresponding computer systems on the basis of railway bureaus’ rail network scale. All of the above research achievements were confirmed by relevant experts and scholars, and meanwhile obtained good economic returns and social benefits.
